Winner, Winner, Chicken Dinner

by Stephen 4 Comments »

So, I’m failing at writing frequently. Life has been crazy. But, not too crazy to not announce the winners from last week’s contest! Yes, I said winners (plural). I’m nice like that.

Drum roll, please…

The random number generator chose…

Don and Joni

Congratulations! You’ll get your CD in the mail soon (dad, you can just pick yours up from me when I see you…ha!).

Stay tuned for more conference promotion stuff. Visit www.infocusworship.com for more information and to register.

Your phone rings.

It’s a travel agent and you just won a trip to anywhere in the world, that you haven’t been before.

Where do you go?

Spam Is Gross

How many email addresses do you have?

I have three:
1. For work (It only comes to the computer in my office)
2. For my blog (I check it once a day)
3. Personal (It comes to every computer I have, plus my phone. You know, just in case someone decides it’s more important to email an emergency instead of the ever-so-complicated phone call)

Your turn to confess.

Vacation? Nope.

I wasn’t on vacation.

I don’t know why I stopped writing.

I’m back now.

This isn’t a poem so don’t expect it to rhyme.

Googly Moogly

If you search for “train” on Google Images, this post shows up as number 9 out of 77,400,000 results. Pretty crazy, huh? I started to notice how many people I had visit my site because they googled, “train,” so I had to find out where I stood in the rankings. If you came here through Google Images, sorry, I don’t sell train stuff and I no longer live next to train tracks. In fact, I hate trains. I hate the horns, how they slow down traffic and even the band that’s named after one. Maybe I should start a support group for people who used to live by trains. We’ll call it, “People Who Hate Trains and Can’t Stand to Hear Their Stupid Horns,” or “PWHTACSTHTSH” for short.

Conductors not allowed.

Link Lovin’

by Stephen 2 Comments »

Today I am on the road to Nashville and will be in a conference, so I thought it would be a good time for some link love. If you’ve noticed, I have a few of my favorite links listed on the right side of my blog but haven’t given you the chance to post yours. So, I’m going to create a links page where I will post your blog and we can all check out the cool things you’re writing about. If you want to be included, link to my blog and then leave a comment for me to add you to my links page.

Click here. See how easy? :)

Dude, Where’s My Car?

by Stephen 5 Comments »

Yesterday my car overheated and it’s going to cost more to fix the problem than what the car is worth. Womp, womp. So now I’m in the process of car hunting so that I can get around. It’s a very exciting and frustrating process. I’ve only had one car my whole life and now she’s gone.

How many cars have you been through?

Here we go again. Thank you, Lauren, for participating last week. Since I have some new readers, let’s try for more weird stuff. And there’s a lot out there! So dig deep people. Here’s my picture for the week:

I wish that dog could turn around and do the same hairstyle to that lady. Geeez people!

Your turn. Remember, it can be anything weird. Post your link in the box below and then link back to this post. Let’s have fun.

Transitions

by Stephen 2 Comments »

I love change, I really do. I’ve never had a problem with it. Until now.

Last year I moved out of my parents house and in with my brother at his new house. I used to always say that I would never move in with my brother but that’s another story. This past year has been a lot of fun and I think we both came to realize that we actually could live under the same roof without killing each other. Well, he just got married last weekend and now I’m living in a new place on the other side of town. For the first time in my life it feels like I’m on my own and I have to admit, I haven’t liked it. I understand this isn’t a huge change but it’s definitely a transition. For now, I’ll just blog about it and hope that it passes soon because I still miss my old place.

Have you been through any recent changes or transitions?

Weird Wednesday #1

by Stephen 6 Comments »

I’m going to start something new on Wednesdays and see if it works. Every week I’ll post something weird or crazy. A story, picture, article, or whatever. At the bottom of each post I’ll include Mr. Linky where you can post something on your blog and link back to mine so we can all share a laugh or groan. Sound good? Let’s get some community going on here. And it never hurts to lighten up just a little.

Okay, here’s my first Weird Wednesday post:

This picture was taken by my sister-in-law when she was driving through Aiken, SC. I didn’t believe her until I saw this picture. I’m all for things being “off the chain,” but the name of your restaurant?! At least it sounds fun.

So there you go. See how simple? Now it’s your turn. Fill out Mr. Linky and link back to this page in your post. Have fun.
